The year 2016 was a remarkable year for Bible prophecy and very exciting for all bible students who are anticipating the return of our Lord.

Here are only some of the highlights of the year 2016
Jan.06 Pope Francis reveals new ad proclaiming plans for “One World Religion” citing all faiths, specifically Buddhism , Judaism, Christianity and Muslim religion all have the same one God in a strategic attempt to unite all peoples.
Nimrod the King of Babylon did the same thing at the Tower of Babel.
“And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech…” (Gen.11:1)
Jan.16 US, EU lift sanctions against Iran amid landmark nuke deal. For Iran, the move lifts Western economic sanctions that have been in place for years, unlocking access to $100 billion in frozen assets and unleashing new opportunities for its battered economy.
U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and the top diplomats of Iran and the European Union hailed the accord. “Today marks the day of a safer world,” he declared.
Iran has repeatedly called for the extermination of the Jewish people and have threatened to wipe Israel off the map. They also fund militias like Hezbollah in Lebanon and Hamas for attacks against them. This deal only strengthens Iran to do more harm to Israel as they collaborate with Russia and grow in strength. The Prophet Ezekiel says “Persia…” (Iran) will be in alliance with Russia and bring their army against the Holy Land (Ezekiel 38:5)
Feb.12 Pope Francis meets the head of the Russian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Krill in Cuba. The historic meeting between heads the two major Christian churches is an unprecedented move to mend an almost 1000 year long schism between the Western and Eastern branches of the religion.
These are the two religious heads that represent the Eastern leg and Western legs of Daniel’s vision of Nebuchadnezzar’s image that will one day stand again. It is “the image upon his feet”. (Daniel 2:34)
March 22 32 civilians were killed and more than 300 wounded when three explosions hit Brussels, Belgium. The first two at Zaventem airport and the third on a subway train near the European Union headquarters. The terror organization group ISIS claimed responsibility.
These ISIS terror attacks caused these nations to start seeking a protector, that is, someone who could rid Europe of this growing militia whose headquarters was in Syria. These terror attacks seemed to be “hooks” that would bring the Northern country (Russia) to enter into the middle east to exterminate the Islamic State as we see him become a “guard” unto that region.
As Ezekiel prophesied of the Prince of Rosh (Russia) “I will turn thee back, and put HOOKS into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army… (Ezekiel 38:4) and that Russia would be “a GUARD unto them” (Ezekiel 38:7)
April 11-12 Two days in a row Russian Su-24 jets and KA-27 Helix helicopter boldly performed aggressively “simulated attack” passing and circling over the USS Donald Cook during military exercises in the Baltic Sea, coming within 30 feet from the ship, bewildering the U.S.
“In the latter time…, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up. (Daniel 8:23)
May 06 Pope Francis received the Charlemagne Prize at which time he laid out his vision for a RENEWED EUROPEAN continent, saying “I dream of a new European humanism”. He asked that European leaders “take up with determination the challenge of updating the idea of Europe” – a Europe capable of giving birth to “a new humanism”
Charlemagne, also known as Charles the Great or Charles I, was King of France. He united a large part of Europe during the early Middle Ages and laid the foundations for modern France, Germany and the Low Countries. He took the Frankish throne in 768 and became King of Italy in 774. From 800, he became the first Holy Roman Emperor — the first recognised emperor in Western Europe since the fall of the Western Roman Empire three centuries earlier. Charlemagne already ruled his kingdom without the help of the Pope, but recognition from the pontiff granted him divine legitimacy in the eyes of his contemporaries.
12 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.
13 These have ONE MIND, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.
14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

June 07 Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu visits Moscow. The Syrian crisis has brought Russia to Israel’s northern border. This meeting was called to avoid any conflicts of territory. PM Netanyahu said “Israel is aware of the fact that it has a Russian border now.” Debka Report June 10 says Putin and Netanyahu decided to deepen military ties. It is reported that Putin attempted to convince Netanyahu that the presence of a Russian Navy and Air Force in Israel would guarantee their safety from an attack from enemies such as ISIS, Hezbollah and Iran and also would protect their Israeli gas fields. They stamped their relationship by signing a 5 year military agreement between both of their Armed Forces.
We see a likeness between this agreement and the covenant King Ahaz of Israel made with the King of Assyria, when Israel also sought an alliance for protection from it’s enemies with a nation that was building its empire and expanding its borders. Assyria subdued the enemies of Israel which included Syria which was incorporated into the Assyrian Empire. After this Assyria besieged and conquered Israel. Russia is the “latter day Assyrian” that, in the end, will betray Israel the same way by invading and plundering God’s people.
At this meeting, Prime Minister Netanyahu said “RUSSIA is a global power and our relations are getting closer…” and this meeting is “serving us, our national SECURITY…”
Ezekiel 38 says that in the latter (last) years, Israel would be “dwelling SAFELY” that is “betach” [H982] or literally “SECURELY, confidently”) at the time when the Gogian Confederacy, led by Russia, shall “ascend and come upon them like a storm” (EZ.38:8-9) and invade the land of Israel “to them that are at rest, that dwell SAFELY or “SECURELY, confidently”… (EZ.38:11)
It seems apparent that much of this SECURITY is dependent on the very nation that will come from the North “to take a spoil, and to take a prey…” (EZ.38:12)

June 07 NATO exercises
The largest war game in eastern Europe since the end of the cold war started in Poland, as Nato and partner countries seek to mount a display of strength as a response to concerns about Russia’s assertiveness and actions.
The 10-day military exercise, involving 31,000 troops and thousands of vehicles from 24 countries, has been welcomed among Nato’s allies in the region, though defense experts warned that any mishap could prompt an offensive reaction from Moscow.
Like the old king of the North, “he that cometh against him shall do according to his own will and none shall stand before him..” (Daniel 11:16)
June 23 Massive flooding in London is preventing thousands from casting their Brexit vote. This was particularly bad news for the “remain” campaign who were worst affected by the storm.
Polling stations were closed due to the extreme weather prompting many to call for a re-vote but God commanded these rains for a reason. England (Tarshish in the bible) will NOT be a part of Europe when those countries join Russia in invading Israel (Ezekiel 38:13)
Yahweh says “I caused it to rain upon one city, and caused it not to rain upon another city: one part of land was rained upon, and the other part of land whereupon it rained was not withered”. (Amos 4:7)
June 23 BREXIT is the name given to the monumental exit of Britain from the European Union. This is a remarkable prophetic event that Christadelphians have anticipated for over 150 years! We saw the Hand of God work through the massive storms preventing thousands of people in a region mostly populated by anti-brexit supporters!!
England is called by the name Tarshish in the bible and Ezekiel chapter 38 makes it very clear that England will be separate from the European Confederacy who will collaborate with Russia and invade Israel. These, “the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions…” (Ezekiel 38:13) will defend Israel.

June 24 Pope Francis visits Armenia and acknowledges them as one of the earliest builders of the catholic church. He also acknowledged the “genocide” by the Muslim Turkish Ottoman Empire that almost exterminated all the Armenians from 1915 to the early 1920’s. This was a political play to unite and strengthen the Eastern Orthodox Religion with Russia as they will besiege Turkey one day.
In the bible, Armenia is included in the region of Togarmah that will be confederate with the Gogian militia. (Ezekiel 38:6)
July 14 Nice France attacks. While celebrating Bastille Day, a Tunisian man living in France deliberately drove a 19 ton truck into crowds of civilians for approximately one mile, killing 86 people and wounding 434. ISIL claimed responsibility and this attack was an act of terrorism.
France descended into a militarized state ruled by fear. This attack, like the one earlier in the year in Brussels, would further strengthen the bond between France (Gomer in the bible) and Russia. “Gomer, and all his bands…” (Ezekiel 38:6)
July 15 Turkish military attempt a coup against the government and Turkey President Erdogan. Though this attempt failed, it weakened Turkey enough for Russia to come in an offer assistance and new alliance between the two countries. There was even reports that Russia had warned Turkey of the coup before it happened. President Erdogan met with Russian President Putin on Aug.09 in hopes of a new relationship since the downing of a Russian Jet by Turkey eight months earlier.
Turkey is in the region that the King of the North will occupy when in full power. Russia has already had their eyes set on Istanbul, previously called Constantinople from the Byzantine Empire days. (Daniel 11).
July 22 Attack in Muich, Germany German-Iranian teenager, who is believed to have acted alone, kills 9 civilians outside a shopping mall at late evening.
July 26 Killing of priest in Catholic Church ISIS claim responsibility for an attack by two men during a 9am mass inside of a catholic church in France brutally killing a priest.
These attacks leave Europe stunned, fearful and angry. In the bible Gomer is the region of FRANCE and GERMANY in the land of Magog. (Ezekiel 38:2-6)
France and Germany will continue to be strong supporters of the Western Europe Union as we see these civilian attacks increasing, and their lack of ability to protect themselves, will continue to cause the Alliance to grow stronger with Russia and the Pope of the Roman Catholic Church.
Guillaume Goubert, the editor of La Croix, a Catholic daily newspaper said, “The history of FRANCE is very associated with CATHOLICS, and to strike a church is to strike one of those elements that constitutes the identity of France.”
“The word we hear a lot is insecurity, but the real word is WAR,” the pontiff said.
Pope Francis has already said that Putin is the only man can save Christians in east.
Since the Roman Catholic Church do not have a military army, it will be Russia that will fight their battles. *************************************
PLEASE NOTE: In June 2015, Pope Francis had a meeting with Russian President Putin at the Vatican. They discussed the growing concern of the killings of Christians in the middle east. During this meeting, Pope Francis gave Putin an “Angel of Peace” medallion. This “Angel of Peace”, according to the Catholic church, is the “Winner of all Wars” who will bring “Peace” and “Unity” to the world.
This is how the False Prophet (the Pope) will lure the Dragon (his military might/Russia) while riding the Beast (western Europe) and bring them into the Holy Land.
“And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the Dragon, and out of the mouth of the Beast , and out of the mouth of the False Prophet. For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the Battle of that Great Day of God Almighty.

Aug.16 Russian bombers attack Isis targets in Syria from Iranian military base in Hamedan. Both the U.S. and Israel were notified before this occurred, but little to nothing they can do about it.
Ezekiel 38:5 says that Persia (Iran) will be confederate with Russia when they attack Israel. We can clearly see this Alliance in the events happening today.
Nov. 08 Election Day After perhaps the most unseemly campaign battle to the White House, Donald J Trump wins the election for President of the United States of America in a historic upset. We see again the Hand of God at work making what seems impossible possible!! (Dan.4:17)
This political earthquake seems to already be causing changes that started with the financial markets rising at a surprising rate! But this is only the beginning as we see the Plan of our Creator transpiring before our very eyes!

Nov.29 Ukraine reports that Russia have 7,500 troops in the eastern province, 23,000 in Crimea, 9,000 in the border, 55,000 on Ukraine’s eastern border.
Russian presence rapidly grew after a statement from Moscow in April 2016, where Russia declared they had a “perpetual blood alliance” with the Ukraine, citing “this is where we came from…” In the bible, the Ukraine is in the originally in the territory of MAGOG. God told the Prophet Ezekiel, “Son of man, set thy face against Gog, THE LAND OF MAGOG, the Prince of Rosh (Russia), Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him…” (Ezekiel 38:2)
Dec.19 Russian Ambassador killed in Turkey While Russia was heavily bombing in Aleppo Syria, they were also killing thousand of civilians including many women and children.
He “shall not regard the person of the old, nor shew mercy to the young” (Deuteronomy 28:50)
Coverage of these acts in Aleppo was reported throughout the world as some condemned the actions but most just looked on. On Dec.19, a Turkish special forces police officer brazenly killed Russian Ambassador Andrei Karlov while being broadcasted inside an art exhibit in Ankara Turkey. The gunman shouted “Do not forget Aleppo! Do not forget Syria!” before being shot down by security officers.
Even though, Russian President Putin has vowed revenge for this attack, this does not necessarily mean he will attack Turkey at this time, but rather after the downed Russian jet in 2015 and now this event, Turkish President may be inclined to buddy up with Putin instead of fighting a war he cannot win. As this incident is still under investigation we will see how it turns out.
Dec.19 Berlin truck massacre A Tunisian man drives a stolen truck through a Christmas market in Berlin Germany killing 12 and injuring 48 people. The suspect was found and killed days later in Italy.
This is yet another example that will bring Germany to a stronger European-Russian-Papacy Alliance.
Dec.19 Islamic State killing in Jordan Four policemen were killed Tuesday in an exchange of fire with wanted men in a central Jordanian province where assailants had killed 10 people in a series of ambushes earlier in the week. King Abdullah of Jordan has vowed to “uproot terrorism” from their country. Jordan is referred to as Moab in the bible and they will NOT be in alliance with Russia when they invade Israel.
“He (the Invader) shall enter also into the Glorious Land, and many countries shall be overthrown: BUT THESE SHALL ESCAPE out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon.” (Daniel 11:41)
As a matter of fact, the Jews fleeing the invasion will go into Jordan for safety.
“For it shall be, that, as a wandering bird cast out of the nest, so the daughters of MOAB shall be at the pass of Arnon.
Take counsel, execute judgment; make thy shadow as the night in the midst of the noonday; HIDE THE OUTCASTS (Israel); reveal NOT him that wandereth.
Let mine outcasts (of Israel) dwell with thee, MOAB; be thou a HIDING PLACE to them from the face of the spoiler: for the extortioner is at an end, the spoiler ceaseth, the oppressors are consumed out of the land.”

Dec.22 Aleppo is reportedly under full control by the Syrian government, for the first time since 2012, but only after over 20,000 civilians were reportedly killed while trapped in the city.
It was reported that Russia was successful in applying a “divide and conquer” strategy in Syria and “Russia is transforming the recent military success in Aleppo into a political victory that paves the way for future diplomatic and military offensives.”
Dec.23 After practically destroying the U.S. relationship with Israel throughout his term, President Obama decides to leave office with a shameful and reprehensible exit, pulling a fast one on Israel by directing the U.S. to abstain from voting in agreement with the UN vote against Israel settlements in the West Bank. There were other countries involved also in this vote but there are allegations that Obama, even though not voting, deliberately made a push for this measure to pass.
The Obama administration has shown that they believe the way to peace is by giving concession to a people (the palestinians) whose culture is to hate the Jewish people whose own government encourage and praise killing jews.
This paves a whole new beginning for President Elect Donald Trump who vows that things will change after he takes office on Jan. 20.
We are already seeing President-Elect Trump begin courting the Israeli PM as part of his plan for the Ultimate Deal of World History – Peace in the Middle East. I think this plan is becoming more and more clear as time goes by and it is very possible under the perfect circumstances.
The Prophet Ezekiel says that Israel must be dwelling “securely” or “confidently” in a “land of unwalled villages” having “neither bars nor gates”when the Northern Army Invades. (Ezekiel 38:8-12).
2017 is destined to be another monumental year as we see YHWH’s Plan unfolding more practically every day!
We are reminded that God’s Word will never come back void or fail and His son, our Lord Jesus Christ, will return soon to Glorify his elect and establish his Father’s Kingdom where he will sit on his Throne in Jerusalem.
12 So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
