“Christ is our Great High Priest in the presence of God for us. By entering heaven with his own blood he has opened the way into the holiest of all. Through Christ we have the joy of the forgiveness of our sins. In the ritual of the leper in Leviticus 13 and 14 we understand our need for a High Priest who inspects us and knows our sins but is willing to heal. Every day he reaches out to us with the greatest care and sympathy. This series looks at the past high priests of the Aaronic code to point forward to the present work of Christ. He is now our mediator, intercessor and advocate. The last study takes us into the kingdom when Christ will be the Great High Priest of the future age and in God’s grace we will be priests to God and to Christ”
