The symbolism of the book of Esther is interesting, Ahazurus depicts the all powerful God, Vashti his unfaithful wife, who turned away from him, and Esther a faithful, beautiful, and all together a lovely one, who prepared herself for eternity with her creator. Let us similarly be encouraged to do the same, and look forward with patience and confidence for the master’s return, having prepared something better for his faithful bride, things which cannot be compared with the things of this present life.
