Description:  Jonathan as son of the King, came to appreciate that God’s intention rested with David. Jonathan is not jealous, but grows to appreciate David’s qualities, and becomes his devoted friend. While Saul sought David’s life, Jonathan upheld it. He was David’s twin spirit, committed to honouring God’s purpose.
