Description: Abraham, who was a friend of God, was the first person to be invited by Him to go to a high mountain, Mount Mariah, to offer his son. Moses was also invited to climb a mountain, Mount Sinai, to be given a beautiful law for God’s people to keep. Jesus took Peter, James and John up into a high mountain, the Mount of Transfiguration, to see God’s Glory. We also have been invited to ascend into the hill of the Lord.
