Description: Some believe that the Bible describes the great enemy as a fallen angel or other supernatural power. The biblical usage of the words Devil and Satan is examined. Firstly, by considering the Bible teaching about human nature, the way in which Jesus destroyed the Devil can be understood. In the second talk, the occurrences of the words “Devil” and “Satan” in Old and New Testaments are highlighted and shown to be perfectly consistent with the Bible teaching that the great enemy we all face is our own nature.
