Description: Apart from the Bible, we have external evidence that the flood occurred. Fossil evidence is consistent with a world-wide flood forming sudden burial of animals, petrified or snap frozen. God saw that man was persisting in his evil ways and it grieved Him, so He brought the flood on the earth. Jesus referenced the flood when he warned people of the calamity to come. God’s interest is to save people from themselves, to follow His way and not their own. He has no desire for people who don’t love him and will destroy them.
