Description: The history of slavery in the world is outlined. Slavery or more accurately bond-service in the Scripture is examined in some detail. There were several types of bondservice listed which protected the slave/servant. God’s laws regulated slavery to prevent the worst abuses. The second talk deals with slavery in NT times. God wants His people to serve, to be bondslaves, willingly.
