That fight was won. Now the real battle is joined.
The prize is immense. Just a month from today, Britain could be an independent country again.
For the first time in many peoples’ lifetimes we could find ourselves in control of our borders, our economy and our future.
Or we could find that hope has been crushed. That Project Fear worked. That our childrens’ destiny will, after all, be decided by unelected, faceless bureaucrats obsessed by an outdated expansionist ideology.
We must not allow this to happen.
June 24th could be Britain’s independence day
The prize is immense. Just a month from today, Britain could be an independent country again.
For more than a century The Express has fought for our readers and for the people of Great Britain.
We stand for fair play, for freedom and for justice – principles that are being progressively and cynically undermined by the European Union.
From the very start – and long before – those behind the EU have been intent on one goal: the creation of a single political and economic European state with absolute sovereignty over the nations under its control.
Napoleon said in 1805: “We must have a European legal system, a European appeal court, a common currency, the same weights and measures, the same laws…I must make of all the peoples of Europe one people.” How proud he would have been.
The rights and freedoms of the peoples of Europe have been systematically swept away.
Our own politicians pathetically insist that Britain is still an independent nation. But the sensible, ordinary people of this country know the truth and have known it for a very long time. No wonder the politicians have for decades squirmed out of promises to hold a referendum.

We began our crusade to leave the EU five years ago
There is no point pretending that we can halt or even curb the EU superstate. If we don’t pull out very soon we shall wake up one day to find that we are completely under its iron thumb.
Already the EU has established its own foreign ministry, with costly embassies throughout the world, undermining our own ambassadors. How long before our Armed Forces are completely under the command of EU generals?
Earlier this week a German bank predicted Britain leaving the EU would cost its economy almost £35billion – no wonder they want us to stay.
Ordinary people feel powerless as one by one our ancient freedoms are stolen away, freedoms for which countless thousands of our forebears have fought and died.
Unlike the armed enemies we have faced and defeated, the EU plotters work secretly and insidiously.
Instead of tanks and bombs, they employ a bewildering array of rules and regulations, every one of which is designed not to improve our lives but to exert greater control.
The British have no quarrel with our European neighbours.
Millions of us happily spend our holidays with them and trade with them and they cheerfully indulge our clumsy attempts to speak to them in their own languages.
We firmly believe that all the nations of Europe, with their infinitely diverse cultures, would be better off out of the EU, restored to their proud and time-honoured ways of life.
So now, just as we did when we first launched our crusade in 2011, we call on all our readers to support our crusade to get Britain out of the European Union.
If you have not already registered to vote, we urge you to do so before the deadline on June 7.
There is no point hoping that our politicians can stem the EU tide even if they wanted to. It’s too late.
But no one can stop this country from leaving the EU if we are determined enough.
And that is what we must do.
As this article highlights D-Day for Britain to Leave the EU is approaching. For Bible Students this will be exciting to see what happens as God has declared the End from the Beginning and the Bible (God’s Word) reveals that Britain will not be part of the EU when Christ Returns to Earth, and World Events are conspiring to ensure that happens.
Will we continue to witness what Daniel said in Daniel 4:17 “This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will…”
WHY? Because Bible Prophecy (spoken more than 2,500yrs ago) has revealed to us the alignment of nations in the last days before Christ’s Return and Britain will not be part of the EU at that time.
Yes, despite all the politicising by the various parties and politicians, EVENTS both within Britain and Europe will keep pushing Britain in the direction of leaving the EU!
So yet again we see the hand of God at work in the nations to ensure that His purpose unfolds on the earth. Britain will leave the EU of this we can be certain as this is a matter of Bible Prophecy. In the Bible, God has long said (2,500 yrs ago to be exact) that Britain will not be a part of the European Union when Russia and the EU invade the Middle East.
