Angels have brought destruction to the wicked and protection to the righteous. Even now, angels are active, providing guidance to men and women who will be saved at Christ’s return. Comment: At 6:55, the slide says “Elohim – Mighty Ones” Please note that the following definition of the Hebrew word relating to God was written by the former Chief Rabbi of the UK. “Elohim being the impersonal aspect of God: God as law, God as power, God as justice. the uniqueness of God Himself”. The word is a Hebrew intensive plural (because of the many attributes of God) that goes with a singular verb, by which it refers to ONE GOD. The translators know this and correctly use the word ‘God’. Where there is a plural verb (about 9% of cases) the word elohim is also plural and may refer to ‘gods’. Young’s Concordance gives the meaning ‘object of worship’. When referring to One God, Elohim does not mean ‘mighty ones’. Context, rather than etymology, determines the meaning.
